D=Dropout Color

A color in an image that has been made transparent so objects (and text) behind or in front of that part of the image are not obscured by the image.
Copyright (c) 1997 by Micrografx, Inc.

To use the dropout tool, double click the image and the edit image  dialog box will appear.  The dropout tool is the button on the left, an eyedropper with a plus sign next to it.  To revert the image back to having no transparent areas, us the next tool, the eyedropper with the X next to it.

D=Default Properties

I don't know about you, but my object default properties always seem to be changing on me.  To reset the defaults, go to Format: Default Properties. Make your selections, and then click set defaults.  These are the properties that will be applied to all new objects you create.

Note: I have since found out the the default properties are changing because if you change object properties when no object is selected, the chage is applied to the default object properties.
