G=Gradient Fills Start by Drawing a rectangle, then hit alt-enter to bring up the object properties dialog. Go to the fill tab and select gradient. A gradient fill gradually fades from one color to another. In the dialog box, you can change the start and end colors for a gradient fill. In the Sample box, you can see the results of any changes that you make before applying them. In the upper right corner of the dialog, you can pick the style of the gradient. Custom Gradient Fills
You should have a gradient that forms an arrow pointing right. Click append to add this to you list of gradient styles and it will always be available to you. Experiment with the settings to add more gradient styles. Draw only allows gradients to use two colors. To get the effect of a multi-color gradient, see my lesson on B=Blend.
