Adding Images to Media Manager
I have converted a bunch of PA graphics to .wmf files and have downloaded lots of others and I'm using them with Draw.. but I want to be able to find them, so here's how to do it... You do NOT have to be in Draw to work with Media Manager, so go to start and find your shortcut and click on it... Click on OPTIONS then SUBJECT, scroll all the way to the top to the GLOBE. Click FILE then NEW COLLECTION A box will pop up, type in the name you want for your collection, example: PA GRAPHICS, then click OK The new collection will be highlighted, go to FILE again and click NEW SUBJECT Type in the subject, example, MASKS, then OK Now click OK again. Now there is a blank set in Media Manager, the top window should have the name of your collection (PA Graphics) and the bottom window the name of the subject (Masks) Click OPTIONS, then PROPERTIES, now change the size of the thumbnails to something you prefer... (I like 72x72 and 256 colors - I like to actually be able to see the graphic!), click OK Go to OPTIONS again and ADD FILES... browse to where the graphics are on your hard drive, the thumbnails will appear. Click on the TOP LEFT graphic, scroll all the way to the bottom, hold the SHIFT key and click on the BOTTOM RIGHT graphic - all thumbnails will be highlighted. Then click on ADD (only highlighted thumbnails will be added so MAKE SURE all are highlighted) Now that directory is added to your Media Manager and those graphics available in Draw..... To add more subjects to a collection, go to OPTIONS, SUBJECT, click on the COLLECTION you wish to add to, then FILE, NEW SUBJECT, and proceed from there... you can add subjects to any collection.
