Disappearing Text
Pencil
There seems to be a problem for some people in which text becomes invisible after it is rotated or aligned to a curve in Draw. If you encounter this problem, chances are, the text is still there but it will not display with a normal screen refresh. However, if you "Refresh at High Quality" (shift-F3), you will find that the text is still there. The text will print although it does not appear in the print preview.

I have been looking for some type of common denominator as to why this problem occurs but so far I have not been able to come up with anything definitive. It's possible that it may have to do with the S3 Virge PCI display drivers and it may have something do do with fonts or system resources. I'm really not sure. For myself, the problem periodically comes and goes and I have not been able to identify any logical pattern for it.

If you are also having this problem, I would be interested in hearing from you. Please include all relative information regarding the system you are using including the amount of ram, free disk space, display driver and version, number of fonts installed, etc. In addition, it would be a good idea to mention this problem to MGX support. The more people make them aware of it, the more likely they will be to see that it is not just a few isolated incidents.

New Info: If you are having this problem, it may help to reduce your graphics acceleration settings. You can do this by going to the system control panel, then the performance tab. From there, click the button for graphics, and move the slider down a notch. You will need to reboot your computer and then you can try Draw. If it still doesn't work, try lowering the acceleration another notch.
