Mini-Tips
When rotating, if you grab that rotate dot and pull it out & away from the center, you'll then have finer control over small degrees of rotation.
If you hold the ctrl key down as you drag an object it will duplicate it.
To flip an object, grab a side handle and drag it across the object to the opposite side.
To retain the objects proportions, hold the shift key down as you drag the handle.
To flip and duplicate at the same time, hold the CTRL key as you drag a side handle across the object to the opposite side.
To make the thumbnails bigger in media manager, right click the thumbnail area of Media Manager and choose properties.  The subject tabs is where you change the size and color depth of the thumbnails. (This will not work for the collections that are on the Draw 6 CD's.)
You can create a background for your page using a color fill, graphic, texture, or watermark.
Go to Format: Page Background.
There are over 500 animated gifs on the Draw 6 red application CD in the folder MgxAnima.
If you have any Microsoft Office product, you can use Word Art in Draw.  Just go to insert ->object -> new object, then choose Microsoft Word Art from the list.
You can also use Corel Wordperfect Text Art.  Insert ->object ->more objects ->create new ->Corel Text Art 8 Document ->OK
If you just click on an object or text and don't release your mouse button, you can use the arrows on your keyboard to move the object or text in micro amounts.
With your cursor over the object you want to move, hold the space bar down and then use the arrow keys to move the object.
You can enter exact dimensions for an object... Right click on an object, go to Format Properties, then click the General tab. You may need to uncheck "Keep Proportional", but you would probably leave it checked if it is a clipart or image that you do not want to get distorted.
Object Properties dialog box:
You can choose a name for an object, then when the objects is selected its name will appear on the status line. You can also enter an exact location for an object on your page by using x and y coordinates and you can change which layer an objects is on.
You can add fancy ends to your lines... go to format "line ends" then pick an end style and size from the dialog box.
